December Sermon Series

I’m excited to announce the December sermon series for 2018!! Since the rest of the world will be in discussion about The King (not Lebron!) then let’s have a discussion about Him! The title of the series is “Advent: The Coming of The King”.

Many of you will ask what exactly does the word advent mean. Advent is defined as being the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event. It has also been used throughout history as a time for beginning the new church year for those who use a tool called the lectionary. I cannot wait for you to see what God has for you in this series along with what the Ave. G Set Ministry has designed to go along with the messages! In December, Lord willing, we will examine just how blessed we are to have the King of kings!

1 Timothy 6:13–16 (NRSV)

13 In the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep the commandment without spot or blame until the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which he will bring about at the right time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords. 16 It is he alone who has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see; to him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
