That was my poor attempt to mimic the late great poet/rapper Christopher Wallace. Today the Avenue G Church of Christ came together to have a combined worship service with the Western Hills Church of Christ. All who were present, I believe, had a great time praising God together. This was a day where from the youngest soul to the oldest heard a message of Hope! We heard messages on Hope From the Cross, Hope From the Tomb, and Hope at the Table.

Scott Meyers, minister of the Western Hills congregation, had a vision that he shared with me over lunch at Mcalister’s. And today Christians came together as the one, united, people of God and I believe created bonds that will not be broken.

There were so many high points on this day! I woke up three times last night in anticipation of today! I kept looking at the clock, ready to come and worship together!! I had my blazer ready, shirt ironed, socks, and shoes. Some of my highlights were singing together with both congregations, Children’s Crew, and having the opportunity to listen to Scott preach. It’s always good to get to listen to a sermon when you are used to preaching every week.
