Our Mission
We are a congregation that is a part of the larger body known as the Church of Christ. We believe that baptism is essential for salvation. We believe that the Bible has set the standard for church practice and organization. We also believe that God has given us freedom as Christians and the ability to differentiate between tradition and biblically binding scripture.
It is our goal to fear God and keep his commandments. We do that by observing what it is that God would have us to do according to His word, the Bible. At the Avenue G Church of Christ our mission statement is simple. We are a People of More.
Learn More.
Through Worship Services and Bible study so that we can be a part of and function properly in His kingdom (Eph. 4:20-24).
Love More.
Through fellowship with each other, seeking to harbor the horizontal (fellow man) and vertical (God) relationships of the early church in Acts (Acts 2:41-42).
Do More.
Through several ministries outside the building being shining lights in a world of darkness (Matt. 5:15-16).
Teach More.
Fulfilling the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20, making disciples and baptizing them for the remission of their sins.
